Cognitive abilities are an individual's power to think intelligently and to analyze situations and data effectively. To sharpen my cognitive abilities I have to thinkmatters or situations divergently and convergently. By divergent thinking I will be able to see differences among situations, phenomena, or events and by convergent thinking I will be able to see similarities among situations, phenomena, or events. Creativity is the ability of an individual to

generate new ideas or toconceive of new perspectives on existing ideas. To make a creative contribution to a specific area I have to receive formal training and education in that area because formal education and training are usually the most efficient ways of becoming familiar with this vast amount of research and knowledge. By increasing cognitive abilities as well as other personal traits like openness, an attraction to complexity, high levels of energy, independence and autonomy, strong self-confidence, and a strong belief that one is in fact, creative, I can also sharp my creativity.
