Introduction
“Industry is the key to success”- is the main theme. Every man who wants to see himself at the top most position, he must be laborious. In the field of business, there are some characteristics must be present in a successful businessmen, such as laborious, forecaster, decision maker, thinking ability, intellectual, etc. Now there are some successful businessmen in our country who are successful for and only for himself. And they would be better position in future by their work. S.M. Sagor is a man of these types.
Early life
Mr. S.M. Sagor born in a hindu family in Kalaiya, Bauphal. He is the 3rd son of Asim Dutta and Nirjona Debi. At that time his name was Samir Dutta. He has born in 1970 in a middle class family. Asim dutta also a businessman. He has 2 brothers and 1 sister. They all are now in better position. He changes his religion in 1990 just before his marriage. In his boyhood, he is naughty and courageous person. But different from other hindu child. Hindu religion didn’t attract him. He has interest in muslim religion.
Education
Mr. S.M.Sagor was not a brilliant student. He started his educational life from 1975. He passed his primary and secondary education from Purbo Kalaiya Hasan Siddique primary and secondary high school. In S.S.C he obtained 2nd division in 1986. Then started his college life in Bauphal Government college and passed H.S.C examination in 2nd division in 1989. He didn’t passed class 11 1st time. That time he was busy with some bad people who aren’t successful in their life. After short period he recovered himself and realizes that life is so beautiful if it is well arranged. After passing H.S.C examination he finishes his educational life.
Conjugal Life
Mr. S.M. Sagor got married Mrs. Mahmuda Begum in 1990. Mrs. Mahmuda Begum is daughter of Mr. Montaz Biswash. He was most famous and popular person in Kalaiya. He was also the member of Kalaiya Union Parishad. Mainly S.M. was a person of Hindus family until he got marriage. Samir Dutta was the name of S.M. Sagor, when he was in the religious in Hindu. He accepts Islam as a religion in 1990, when he was 21 years. Behind to accept Islam there is a great history, when he was in approximate 19 years old, in that moment he choose a Muslim girl as a lover. She is Mrs. Mahmuda Begum. Both like each other so much. After two to three years from this occurrence, S.M. Sagor and Mrs. Mahmuda Begum got marriage, without the permission of parents of both. After this moment S.M. Sagor accepts Islam, but after some years parents of Mrs. Mahmuda Begum accept this couple. But parents of S.M. Sagor are still Hindu. In this present moment they are in good position, and they pass their life with happiness. They have two daughters and one son. His son Selim is in six years old, and One daughter name as Shapna passed SSC examination in 2007, and another daughter Shilpi is in class seven.
Steps In business: Starting business
Mr. Sagor started his business in Kalaiya bazaar. At first, he opened a photo studio shop and that is in 1989. His initial capital was in around fifty thousand taka. His father helps him for the initial capital. He got idea to start business from his father and inspired by the incident of 1987. After some month he got success from his photo studio lab because of he is a man of well wisher and always try to behave well with his customer and he always keep his word by hook or by cook. For that reason, maximum people love him and they came to the photo studio lab for their need. After 9 month, he enlarges his photo studio lab with modern equipment. He always tries to make bridge with his customer.
Raising of Business
After gain some profit from the photo studio lab, he thinks that enlargement of his business is necessary and he can that. From this concept, he starts his television, radio, mike servicing centre in 1991 in Kalaiya bazaar and in 1993 start producing mike and battery in a small scale. At that time he had 3 middle size shops and all shops performance was excellent. For that Mr. Sagor open a new shop of cable as a dealer in 2003 in Kalaiya bazaar. After gain success of that he opened a shop with combination of mobile, mobile repairing and servicing in 2005 in Kalaiya bazaar. At day and night he works hard to establish his new shop and side by side also to successfully run his old shops. And at last he involved as a middle man to collect fish, gather it and send that fish in departmental shop in Dhaka from 2006. Still he has enough capital to expand his business and his next project would be pharmaceuticals shop. He is a man with power because he starts with small capital and with hope. By his hard working, he is now a successful businessman in respect of his view.
Problems Face to Run Business and Overcoming the Problems Faced in Business
It is said that men without problem is impossible. Naturally Mr. Sagor faces some problem which is overcome by himself or by helps of his relatives. His initial capital is come from his father. At that time he is a new comer in business. Helps and suggestion comes from his father. But after be a Muslim, his father didn’t accept him as his son. After marriage his father-in-law helps him to give suggestion and capital. At the begging to till he is serious for his business. Live in a village and contact with departmental store to supply their needs is a big task for him. But he overcomes this problem by his effectiveness, efficiency and business knowledge.
Speech to the New Entrepreneurs
He thinks that new entrepreneurship in this time is difficult but not so impossible. So one should be hard worker and determined; otherwise one can not reach to the goal. He also thinks that honesty can make a man as a successful entrepreneur. Sometimes he faces some of problems for the lack of business knowledge. That’s why he always says that gather business knowledge by institutionally and practically to make you as a successful entrepreneur.
Social Contribution
Mr. Sagor also engaged in various social activities. He always helps those students who are meritorious but do not have ability to bear the expenses of education. From his direct contribution Kalaiya bazaar is now developed. He tries to help poor people to give them work and money.
Conclusion
Mr. S.M. Sagor is a hard worker, ambitious, honest businessman. He set up new shop with objectives and tries to achieve that. His daily work is always structured and preplanned. From 5o thousand capitals, now he is the owner of 5 medium shops which worth is around 20 lacks. He never looks back and always tries to adopt with challenging activities. He is a perfect man for the new entrepreneurs not only our country but also for the world to follow. We need this type of person in every time in our country.
